Debunked: No, 35km queues of traffic have not formed at the Russia-Finland border
Videos shared online today have been described as showing a traffic jam at the border between Russia and Finland after Vladimir Putin announced he had signed a “partial mobilisation”, conscripting military reserves in Russia. It has been confirmed, however, that such videos and claims are not factual. In a tweet this evening, the Finnish Border Guard said: “Situation at Finland’s borders has not changed with the announcement of Russian mobilisation. (Source: The Journal)

Conspiracy: Ukraine burns its own and russian wheat fields
Verification within Meta’s Third-Party Fact-Checking Program\n\nrussian media outlets are propagating a conspiracy theory about Ukraine’s wheat fields being burned not by the russian military but by “globalists-neocons,” carrying out their plans to cause global hunger. These are conspiracy theories promoting the narratives of russian disinformation campaigns about the invasion of Ukraine. (Source: Vox Ukraine)

Not Authentic: Ukrainians Were Detained For Selling Stingers In Germany
Were Ukrainians arrested in Bremen, Germany, while trying to sell on the black market Western-provided, Stinger surface-to-air missiles and "other heavy weapons"? No, that's not true: The video posted on social media with supposed proof of this event does not show a single arrested person. Bremen police said that no such arrest took place. #Covid-19

Misleading: Gaps in study claiming that ivermectin reduces risk of COVID-19 death by 92%
Social media users are sharing a report about a Brazilian study that claims regular use of ivermectin reduces the risk of death from COVID-19 by 92%. Reuters previously debunked this claim. As of September 2022, the NIH recommends “against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19, except in clinical trials”, as does the World Health Organization. (Source: Reuters)

False: Children in the UK aged five to 11 will no longer be offered COVID-19 vaccines due to concerns about developmental side effects.
An Instagram post from an Australian anti-vaccine mandate group claims five to 11 year olds in the United Kingdom will no longer be offered COVID-19 vaccines due to concerns about developmental side effects. The claim is false. The UK vaccination program for children aged five to 11 in non-clinical risk groups ended on August 31, 2022. (Source: AAP)

#Climate Change

False: Greenhouse gases don’t heat up the earth.
A coalition senator has argued the science behind climate change is “junk”, even as the Senate was poised to enshrine into law a 43 per cent emissions reduction target. However, experts have rubbished the claim, saying the senator’s argument misses the point of the greenhouse effect. They told AAP FactCheck that the post misrepresents the role of greenhouse gases, which absorb heat radiated back off the earth rather than acting as a physical barrier to convection. (Source: AAP)

Document.no slår fast i en artikkel at tyske vindparker skaper større drivhuseffekt enn all den innenlandske flytrafikken i landet.

(Source: Tjekdet)
