Mostly-True: “One in five Americans has lost a family member to gun violence.”
According to a survey of 1,271 adults in the U.S. conducted in March, 19% of adults have lost a family member to gun violence, including suicide. This is an increase from a survey conducted in 2022 and 2018, but the wording of the questions in the surveys makes direct comparison difficult. Gun violence has surpassed car accidents as the leading cause of death for people ages 1 to 19. (Source: PolitiFact)

False: Using saunas reguarly reduces risk of death from any cause by 30 to 40%
This may be referring to a Finnish study which found an association between sauna use four to seven times a week and a 40% reduced risk of death compared to using saunas once a week. Outdated data: There are 15 million child workers in Nigeria
The figure was from a 2000/2001 survey and an expert said the 22-year-old data was too old to represent the current situation in the country. However a new survey will be released in 2023 and given the rate of population growth in Nigeria, it is possible that the number of child workers has increased. (Source: Africa Check)
