Miscaptioned: Flame-throwing aircraft started the Canadian wildfires in May and June 2023.
While real video footage does show helicopters spreading fire above forested areas, they were carrying out a wildfire management technique known as a planned ignition. This helps reduce the spread of wildfire. The May/June 2023 wildfires were thought to have been started by lightning strikes and a range of human causes. (Source: Snopes)

Miscaptioned: Ukraine flooded the country on purpose by destroying the Nova Kakhovka dam
The video is authentic, but it was shared by a local media outlet back in April when massive floods occurred in Ukraine. Given the fact that the recording was published weeks before the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam, we label this video as "Miscaptioned." (Source: Snopes)
